Free musical folklore performance - Journey through Bulgaria

The concert will start on June 26, 2021 at 5:30 pm in the Ancient Cultural and Communication Complex "Serdika" with an educational creative studio "Folk Dance Improvisations", which will introduce children and young people with characteristic dances, traditional clothing and curious stories from seven folklore areas of Bulgaria. Specially selected interactive games will be led by professional dancers of the Children's and Youth Ensemble "Flame" - Sofia.The musical folklore performance "Journey through Bulgaria" from 20:30 will provoke the perceptions of the audience and will stimulate their interest in art, folklore and living cultural heritage of Bulgaria. The authentic folklore is recreated through the eyes of young artists and thus becomes relevant and interesting for the modern generation.The seven folk singers Asya Georgieva, Gabriela Milanova, Gabriela Ivanova, Marina Marinova, Maria-Magdalena Bregova, Milena Velikova and Petya Mihailova will "tell" stories from Pirin, Strandzha, Dobrudzha, Shopska, Rhodope, Thracian and Northern. Their cavaliers on the stage will be the musicians from the Folklore formation "Hadjii". The beauty of the Bulgarian dance will be shown by the dancers from the Folk Dance Ensemble "Flame", who will involve the audience in the action of the performance through the traditional Bulgarian dances typical for each region. Presented together, the folklore areas embody the diversity and variety of Bulgarian culture.The entrance for this event is free.
